You can afford to cut 2 inches off an F-Class barrel, and a little 320 Lapping compound will bring it back to a competitive level. You need to treat it like it's new and break it back in. I shoot moly to break them in with about 5 rounds. They have a tendency of not copper fouling.I have a friend in Australia who shoots mostly F Class.
He has a friend there that goes out of his way to buy cast off premium barrels, he sets them back, re-crowns them and touches up the rifling with polish (not too much!). Then he goes to matches and beats the previous owner with his old (junk) barrel!
If they are big enough diameter I might make some tunners out of them
And tomato plant stakes too !They make good property markers
