I need a 600yd groundhog gun,would like to keep it stock except for bedding action,floating barrel,setting trigger 1.5lb.Want a 6.5x 284cal.What do you guys recommend.Would like it to shoot in the high 5's to mid 6's at 200yds.Single shot bolt.5 shot groups.

The only one that will fit your bill will be the Savage F-Class model in 6.5 X 284. I think you are saying 0.5" to 0.6" at 200, That will be tuff for a factory gun. You may want to look at the 6BR in the same gun. I have seen 2" groups at 600 yds from there 6BR. The 6BR would be a great Groundhog gun. I use A 6BR 12 tw barrel with 70 Biltzking,and have kills past 600yds.
