Hey guys,
I'm new to the 6BR, having recently acquired a Savage LRPV in 12 twist. I will be using it for prairie dogs and casual target shooting. It seems to really like H-4895 and 75 V-Maxes. I've shot it at paper at 200 yards and am getting just over 1/4 MOA. I'd like to take it out farther, to 300, 400, and 500.
Here's the question and I ask because I have not shot paper at those distances--what type and size target/bullseye do you guys use for that type of shooting? Would the common, orange circles, maybe 4" diameter work? Or would I need something larger to see well at those distances? The scope is a 6-24x50 Bushnell Elite 4200 tactical. I'm open to suggestions and recommendations.
Thanks in advance.
