What single shot follower

In a short action Remington 700 in 223... What single shot follower do you use?

Sinclair carries "score high bench rest followers". The rem 700 short works in my rem 700 223 ai.

been using Davidson single shot followers for years with no problems

You can alsobuy a single shot piece that fits perfectly into your action, made by PTG, Pacific Tool and Gauge

If you have DBM bob sled makes a single shot mag. I got one for an AR works great... gonna get one for the AI compatable DBM still...

I use the score high follower, since my rig is strictly for single shot style of firing I gave away the internal follower. Grabbed some epoxy an insured the bolt could still be manipulated. Haven't had and issue with it.

A piece of cardboard folded just right and fit in the bottom of the action. Works flawlessly.
Have also cut sheet metal laying around in the garage, removed magazine from stock, and glued the sheet metal to bottom of action. Stayed in place yet a gentle whack with a screwdriver and rubber mallet removed it when it was time to put the magazine back in.
I can just picture some of you cringing at my methods haha I'm a function first type person (I drive a 14 year old car because it does the job) I don't care what my follower looks like, no one is looking inside my action, I just care that it works and doesn't harm the rifle. Problem solved!

Fourteen year old rig? Gee, that's almost new....I've been driving the same truck for almost 40 years, 'cause it ain't broke, so why "fix" it, right?



I'll cop to the fact that I just sold my old rig to a rancher buddy of mine where I shoot rats, and now drive a new-to-me 2004 rig.....still over ten years old, but new enough for me.

Back on topic: I'm using Score-High single shot followers in seven rifles.....they work flawlessly and look good doing it.

I use the bob sled in my 700 with a dbm. Works great.
