Send that photo to who ever you have make the bag. They will size it for you. It will be narrower that the bottom of you stock. Later! FrankNoahbodyImportant said:This is a Savage FClass stock.
What spacing should I specify when ordering a rear bag?
I am very interested in the SEB rear bag with MicroFiber.
Thank You

Is yours that way or .850" the entire bottom. It seems to me it was difficult getting a bag to fit it correctly because of the taper.

You are correct my F/TR did have the taper but like Steve Blair said in his post above I modified it like he did to his F-Class and took the taper out of it. I did not take the taper out of my F-Class stock. Good catch.rmyers said:You sure your F/TR doesn't taper from wider at back to thinner in front?

I have two Savage F-Class rifles. One's stock is butchered to behave correctly on a bag and the other is factory, as described by Snakepit. No factory Savage F-Class stock will ever ride a rear bag correctly because the width tapers sharply.

The modified stock looks pretty good to me. I think the term butchered might be a little harsh.Steve Blair said:Here are the two F-Class stocks I have. One was butchered to be an F-TR rifle, the other is stock with a .22-250 barrel for varmints.
