I finally got some Berger 105 VLD non moly bullets and tested them in my rifle.
The rifle has a 24 Shilen barrel .266 neck .060 freebore all this mated to a Viper action. Oal is 2.375, bullet 0.015 in the lands.
I tested loads from 29.5 till a very hot 31.5 grains Varget.
As you guess the hot load shoots very small groups.
Should I keep shooting it as it is giving me some bolt drag.
The primers still have rounded edges.
Does somebody got an idea how much pressure is going on here.
The loads I found here are lower so I don't want to get in trouble
Thanks David
