I'm try to put together a varmit load with 75g fb Sierra (Vmax) bullet for ppc. I got v133 and v 135.
I'm asking, what might be the max charge with 133 and if trying 135 is even worth it.
thanks

edit, bullet is 75g vmax.
couldn't find my sierras

Wrong bullet. 70 Sierra Blitz. Use normal PPC load you would use in competition. They shoot great . I shoot 29.5gr of V133. Have shot groundhogs to a bit over 500yds with this load. Very easy peasy.

Factory or custom action? I definitely wouldn’t want to put a hot load for a custom competition gun in a factory rifle. That being said, I’ve never shot a bullet that heavy in a ppc. I would assume that you’d need a 13 twist or faster.

I had to edit my post. I thought I had some sierras but couldn't find them. So I had some 75g hornady Vmaxes to try. So playing it safe, I loaded 28.5g of v135 and set them at -10 thou hard Jam. Made 8 up and went shot at 300y. . They shot exceptional. Really couldn't believe it. Was a one inch round group.
I read all the posts thus far, and appreciate it.
I was just trying to figure out yesterday if What I had might work and If v135 would even work. It works, that is for sure. May not be the best, and I'm sure I can go up in charge if need be.

I use Vit -135 in a Sako PPC USA that has a 24 inch barrel and it works great. Little longer barrel makes use of the slightly slower burn rate of the Vit - 135

That makes alot of sense. about the longer barrel being able to burn it up all the way.
I plan on doing a seat depth test and if that goes decent I'm gonna say go enough.
Haven't shot varmit bullets in a long time.
Forgot how fun it was.

Went up in charge yesterday evening. 75g Vmax with the v135. Shot 29g 29.5 and 30g charges. All shot at 100y. 29grains shot a 5 shot group of .5 . 29.5 and 30 were scatter.
might do one more round with this bullet and call it
