What loading will shoot better?

Range day tomorrow - loaded forty rounds as follows.
Powder charge, primer, bullet and seating depths all the same.

1. Ten rounds. Shoulder bump with body die .002 - Wilson NK die with .336 bushing - two runs over a Wilson .3075 mandrel.
2. Ten rounds. Shoulder bump with body die .002 - Wilson NK die with .335 bushing - two runs over a Wilson .3075 mandrel.
3. Ten rounds. Wilson bushing die with a .002 bump and .335 bushing.
4. Ten rounds. Redding FL die with .002 bump and expander ball as high in the die as I can safely get.

Going to run two 5 shot groups of each.

Will one shoot noticeably better or worse than the other? I'd like to see some guesses and then I'll post results tomorrow.

3 . Bushings work better if only 1/2 of the neck is sized. Neck turned. Factory chambers.

If you are shooting at 200 yards or more, 1 and 2 should shoot better. At 100 yards, it will be difficult to shoot the difference between 1,2 and 3. Number 4 will shoot close to the others. Just my guess.

Omg omg with 3. 1 and 2 are essentially the same thanks to the mandrel opening them up to the same size plus or minus spring back. 4 may surprise though.

I'll do 200 yards - probably not far enough.

Expand on tuning the charge, please. Really the only thing changed is the seating tension across the loads. The FL brass is worked a little more.

Ah. Tuning means adjusting powder charge, neck tension, seating depth, primer to get the best group.

So, changing one of the 'variables' could change the group size, but, it would be kinda 'so what?'.

I'm thinking that unless you've determined an optimal powder charge, you could have a fairly large group. So, the effect of changing one of the other variables might not be evident in the results of the tests.

I'm not the most expert person on tuning loads, but I think you first need to find an accuracy node with powder and seating depth, then do the tests on neck expanding and resizing.

I would also urge you to start at 100 yards. I think, for the magnitude of the effect you're looking for, the effect of the wind needs to be kept to a min.

The 200 yard was not available today. So, I did one five shots at 100 and will save the other until I can stretch out farther.

The load has been 'tuned' for velocity node and seating depth. This is just an experiment with the brass prep.

I would call one and two the same.
I find it interesting the FL seems to walk left and right.
#3 could probably be tuned in with seating depth some more?
