What kind of sand in front bag?

For the Short Range Benchrest front bag, what kind of sand do the best shooters use? I've got an older SEB NEO that I bought used three years ago that has a black front bag which seems like it settles to a pretty hard surface. I'm wondering if I'm giving up some precision?

I use very fine sand.

I just use regular play sand in the front, heavy sand in the rear. You don't want it packed hard in the front, can cause verticle. Just my opinion, maybe worth what you paid for it, nothing!
