what is your impression of the Shadetree joystick rest top?

Awaiting my turn for Seb, but need a rest until then that my daughter will end up using.

It was suggested to pick up a bald eagle, and order the Shadetree top for it.

If you own one, I would like to know how does it feel, reliability etc. on the Shadetree website it states on the instruction sheet that " It should support rifles up to approximately 18 pounds " what about a heavier F open gun?

Any info is appreciated.

I owned a Shadetree for a while and never had a problem running an F-Open rifle off of it. I think it's a good option if you are looking for a joystick rest.

I have one and my gun comes in at 21.3 lbs. No problem. You can turn it up if you need too. A allen wrench is all you need.. My two cents Tommy Mc..

I have one in a heavy sling shot type bottom. Love it.
I bought a Farley because I thought I had to have it.
The shadetree does everything I would need. Thought a couple times of selling the Farley. But when you travel a day or so and stay in hotels along with match fees and all else involved I decided I had better have two of everything including a rest

Good positive input, yes understand carrying spares....

Tim, can you describe how each feels? Any settling after you aim?

They feel to me very similar in the movement. Definitely no settling in either one. The Farley is a fine piece of equipment taking nothing away from it. The shadetree is as well. The shadetree doesn't seem to have quite the range of movement. It might be harder on a score shooter. For me shooting group there is no issue.
By the time you add the shadetree to a bottom the center of gravity gets a little higher

Ok. A bit harder question

Let's say gently used Farley coax 2. With front bag $825

Shade tree , bald eagle, Edgewood 650

Which?

If your waiting your turn on an SEB and this will be your daughter. No question pull the trigger on the shade tree you may decide you don't need the neo

The price differential gets you at least two new barrels. . . . . . .
