What is the difference between a Remington 700 LH ADL and a 700LH BDL action

I was wondering whether I could put a ADL 30-06 length action in a mcmillan stock made for a BDL 30-06 action.
Also are the bottom metal interchangeable between models?
Thanks in advance.

adl has no bottom metal.

easy way to remember the difference.

adl... unloads live rounds through the action(A)

bdl...unloads through the bottom(B) door.

It is easy to refit your action to suit the stock. You will need a BDL magazine box and floorplate. Remington sell a different magazine spring for the BDL but your ADL one should work. The follower and action screws are the same (you won't need the magazine tab screw or centre action screw).

Midway and many others sell the parts you need, or try the classifieds for some used parts.
