What is on your AR?

Im curious on the various set ups you have chosen for your AR platform.

On my 16 inch, Ive kept it very streamline, from a Triji 4x32 HorseShoe ontop and a pair of Dueck Defense QTS. Other than that, its for a MI Midlength Handguard, Magpul Grip and A2 Buttstock.

On my 10.5 SBR, I have your basic quadrail, flashlight, Eotech 512, and a El-Cheapo low profile laser, and MagPul furniture.

My coyote 20 inch is set up with a standard 20 in HB and a Nikon M223 along with a bipod.

What do you have on yours, and what are your primary uses? Why did you choose what you did...

Pictures welcome.

Dave

I have a few and one of my favorites is a stock looking armalite A2 that has a colt hbar barrel in 7.62x39mm.It shoots wonderful.I have an ar-10 A2 in .308 with a weaver 3.5-10x50mm classic extreme with lit reticle,it shoots under a 1/2moa. I also have a .223 with a 24 inch heavy ss fluted barrel with a jewel trigger,6-24x40mm bushnell 4200,it shoots better than me,as a matter of fact all my ar's have jewells and muzzle brakes with other tricks.

nothing..just like the a2 i was issued..a front and rear sight is all i need...if you ever had ran one..then you know ..simpler is better

I have 2 in 223, one wears a 3 x 9 Leupold,most used, the other a lazer sight. I also have an upper in 204 and it wears a VX 3 31/2 x 10.

I agree with the iron sights but we are not in combat.I personally like upgrades and I keep my colt all original for the simplicity part.

AA 6.5 grendel shilen 24" match barrel, Midwest Industries single rail forend, GGG extended rail with farrell rings holding a viper pst 6-24x50

I have a 16" bull barrelled upper with a 2.5-10 optic, light and sling stud, the 18" is for 3 gun with a Burris 332, picatinney bipod mount, and that's it, the 5.7x28 has a red dot on it a vertical foregrip and a light (I use it sometimes for night time varmint shoots).

I've got a PSA lower with a Stag 3G upper. I've tested it with an Eotech 512 and a Zeiss 3x9. Both unfortunately were loaners. None of my big objective scopes will fit without buying yet another huge set of rings. However the ultimate goal, once I can put some money in that direction after my 6XC build is done, is to get a Burris Tac30. The one that comes as a pkg deal with the PEPR mount and the holo sight on top.

Just the basics. A Colt H-Bar lower with a flatop upper for optics and/or iron sights. JP match trigger, solid butt stock w/ removable weight. Does everything I need it to do.

I can't really do much with open sights any more.

On the R-15 4.5-16 Buckmaster

On the 308 Oracle, 4.5-16 Buckmaster and front drop grip that doubles as a bipod.

JP LRP-07 in 260 Rem. U.S. Optics SN3 Tpal. Simple set up. Skid plate and an Atlas bipod.

Stubb, that is a nice clean build you have,is it duracoated or what.I have never seen one in gray and the red letters makes it pop.Just one sweet rifle you have.

It was ceracoated in flat dark earth by JP. The Magpul stock and grip are molded in FDE. The scope was ceracoated in FDE by U.S. Optics during the build. I shoot left handed and I had USO put the parallax adjustment on the right side. I also have a left side mag release added. Flush cups for the Viking sling. That's about it.
