When I clean my bore on my rifles I have been running a wet patch through the barrel until it comes out clean. Then I run a nylon brush through it several times. Then I run a wet patch back through. The patch comes out black. I do this several times I mean A BUNCH.Every nylon brush through the barrel the next patch comes out black or dark gray. It does lighten a little after doing this process numerous times but still very significant. I was so confused where all the black was coming from I took my guns to a friend that has a nice bore scope. When we looked with the scope we witnessed nothing but shinny metal. THE barrel was virtually spotless. Is the black nylon brush causing this. FYI I always clean my barrels 25 shots and less. Savage Model 25t 22 hornet and CZ .223.
