What height talley rings ?

I have a Cooper M21 Montana Varminter ordered and I own a Vortex Viper HS 30mm 6x24x50mm scope that I would like to mount on it using Talley fixed rings. I am thinking medium height might be okay, but it could be very close. Does anybody out there have any input or a similar set-up that could help me decide between med. and high rings before I order?
 
I did a little measuring and reading and used some modeling clay and I believe mediums will work fine for me. FYI for anyone in a similar situation.
 
Well today I finally mounted the Vortex Viper HS 30mm 6x24x50 on my Model 21 Montana Varminter 22-250. I used medium Talley rings, as an aside I have to say the more I use Talley the more I like 'em. I ended up with about 3/16" clearance between the rifle barrell and the objective lens which turned out to be just right for the lens cover that came with the scope. FYI...just in case anyone is interested.
