i am a varmint hunting addict...there, i said it. i was contacted by a guy who was told i was a varmint hunter and he had just bought a .223 rem 5R and wanted to know if the sightron scope he bought was a good choice and how could he improve it's accuracy over factory ammo. NOW, my addiction kicked in! great scope. a 9 twist=70 vlds, load development, small groups, a ballistic table and to the field. after awhile a ghog appears leisurely eating at 209 yds. click up the sightron and crosshair on the target and send it...whummppp! DRT! it only weighed 7# but you would have thought it was a world record. he had me take his(an it's) photo so he could text it to his wife. we discussed the event ad nauseum. he can "get off work early whenever i can take him again". i accept my obligation as i am responsible for my own addiction and this poor soul's. i feel things will be ok as i have not heard from his wife.

But my aging body prevents me from doing as much as I want - I use to leave at 7:30 AM and hunt to dark! Can't that anymore - but I still get out mostly in the evenings. Up to 58 confirmed kills this year.
