What happened to Photobucket and when did it happen?

What happened to Photobucket and when did it happen? I signed in to photobucket today to upload some photos to be hosted there as I have done for years... I don't evn recognize the place... All I need to do is have a online website to hold photos so you can see them easy in my posts... Is there a better place now... Cause there is no way I'm gonna find my way through that mess. I wonder if they think that what they have now is better?

Try tinypic.com. It's owned by Photobucket, but less fluff. You don't even need to have an account. If you use it to post images to the forum, there is an option to have your picture formatted for "Message Boards and Forums" when you upload. When it's done, it gives you preformatted link to the correctly sized pic- just click & paste into your post from there.

+1 for tinypic. I've been using it for years. My images are all still there AFAIK.

My Photobucket account looks fine? :-\

They did a change up about 6-8 weeks ago but it was nothing drastic. I had to "sign in" again to a different aggreement that left me with more space, other wise it's all good.

They have pop-up's now but switch pages and they drop off, no problem up-loading or linking too photo's. For what I've seen it's just as easy as before.

Now when I try to use the bulk uploader on photobucket it closes photobucket and a screen comes up saying that they had to close the page because of a error. Whats up with that? Is the problem in my computer security settings? Never happen until a short time back. Can only upload one picture at a time.

I fully agree with the sentiment the op has. There was nothing wrong with it as it was, now it's a mess. It wasn't just one "improvement" either I'm pretty sure. I went thru a couple times of trying to find my way around again.

I gave up on them this past year when I couldn't download my pics anymore. Something to do with Firefox though I think.

Switched over to Imageshack and things are normal.

It appears they've changed to a mobile device format. It was normal two weeks ago, now it's completely different. I wish computer users had the option to use a standard layout format but I haven't been able to find it.

I've been using TinyPic.com, no problems there other than I forget my password sometimes between sign ins.........
