What freebore for 6x47 for 105 Bergers

I searched and searched.....

What is the ideal freebore for 6x47 for 105 bergers?

I am also planning on shooting the 70 grain blitz king also, but the primary important one is the 105 Berger.

I am thinking about a 26" 8" twist barrel as this will double duty target and varmints.

Thanks guys!

I was thinking about going with the hybrids. So it looks like the 104 freebore.

I am shooting the 185 hybrids in my 308.

I was thinking about going with the 105 hybrids for this build also. From yall's experience would you go vld or hybrid?

Thanks again!

I want to go no turn necks also, I have a 272 bushing for my Whidden bushing die ( bought used)

What Alf said. I could never get the hybrids to shoot quite as well as the hunting VLD's in my standard 6br w/ 8" twist. If you are going to shoot stuff that has hair then that would seal the deal in my mind.

What bullet will load at 105 thou and still run through a short action AICS mag? Do any of yall have overall length on the bullets?

The 6x47L is a shorter case. Should not be an issue. If this was a 260 or 308 then OAL is a problem for longer bullets.

Thanks! Bullets should be here this week. Just waiting on the barrel now.

I'm hoping it will shoot with the IMR4451 or 4350

Does anybody have a no neck turn reamer print?

My barrel is supposed to be done with 105 thou freebore. I was going to load some and need a base to ogive measurement, but I can not seem to find a reamer print.

Thanks!

I have this one:

The .272" is supposed to be a no turn, but it's still too tight for my liking. I did a skim cut, and I'm still over .270" on a loaded round. Plus, it's advertised as a .093" freebore, but is actually .100" by the print, vs what it could actually be.

I'm in the lands .015" or so, and my OAL is 2.680" w/ 105 VLD's.

Unless you have the same chamber, chambered by the same reamer, with the same lot of bullets, no one can give you an accurate measurement.

Thanks! I'm right at 0.270 on a loaded round, I loaded a few at 2.758 coal. That put the base of the bullet at the base of the neck. Thanks for the link on the reamer, Google failed to find me one. I told the gunsmith 0.105 free bore.
