What does this barrel fit, tried on a Win M70, Rem/Hart and Defiance, no go

Specs;
1.090” thread depth
1.120”x 20 shank
.900” shank length

They are, but no nut used on this setup, I don’t think this was on a Savage

After you add the lug you don’t have much shank length left, I am not a Savage guy, but if you guys say that's what it's from, so be it

Exactly. Depending on recoil lug thickness you are in the neighborhood of .700" in the action which is about what a Savage is.

Shouldered (no nut) large shank Savage is my guess as well

It may not be but it's right there with what a large shank Savage would be. I have a small shank Savage on the shelf in a box and could measure it but the tenon length in the action give or take is .700" ish.

I just don't recall anything with large shank with 20TPI other than Savage. All of the LR and ELR actions I can think of are 16TPI. Bat's are all 16TPI. Lawton had large shank models and I believe they were 16TPI as well. Stillers large shanks were/are 16TPI.
