What are your thoughts on the advantages of the .223Rem AI chamber on a 28inch barrel? I'm thinking about redoing my Howa1500s into 223rem AI chamber. If I'm correct this should allow me to fireform factory ammo and then reload with 80grain bullets. I want to get about 2900fps with the 80grain VLDs which I think will make an effective 600-800yard rifle? Any thoughts? And first hand knowledge with the chamber?
