What distance for ladder test

I'm about to do a ladder test with my new 7mm and can use either a 600 or 900yd range. The 600yd range would be more convenient, but is there a benefit in using a 900yd range if I will be using the rifle for F class at 800,900 and 1000yds? Has anyone found the pattern changes between different ranges or that the longer one gives more realistic feedback?

I've found that anything that shoots at 600 yards will shoot at 1,000 yards.

I like to practice at the full distances when I can, but for purpose of doing load and ladder testing, 600 yards will provide you with the feedback that you need as far as holding a waterline and grouping capability.

The further away you can perform test and record accurate shot placment the better. In my experience.
