What choices are there for actions with Rem short action footprints.....

and are right bolt/left port? I have two Bighorn/Zermatt RB/LP actions and was wondering if there are others available since I'm planning on getting one more action. Should I just stick with Zermatt?

Borden, Kelbly’s, Bat and others make short actions with a Remington footprint in any port configuration you desire.

the Zermatt is a nice action. I like the controls feed that can also push feed and the mechanical ejector.

defiance makes several. I love both my defiance deviants. I also love my Bats. I’ve heard great things of Borden’s. Stiller hasn’t been named yet. They make 2 maybe more, 700 short action footprints although I’m not positive on their bolt and port options.

Thanks everyone for the great info. I didn't know there were so many out there with the Rem footprint. I think the American Rifle Company actions use the Savage barrel threads but which of the others have Savage threads?

I like the TL3 actions. The ones I have are single shot actions. I like the easy to replace bolt heads and the bayonet style firing pin.

I like my ARC Nucleus a tad better than my Bighorn Origin. Both take Savage small shank threaded barrels. Both are in KRG Bravo Chassis's. Someday may put a Nucleus in a MPA Chassis.
