Im looking for a cheap rifle with sub 3/4 moa accuracy to experiment with some things reloading. I want something cheap to shoot, and preferably something that would make a good varmint gun that I can push out to 600-800yds. Im also looking for a stock similar to the KRG bravo or MDT field stock. I considered a 224 valk in a CZ 600 alpha and replacing the stock, but that leaves me with buying a Boyds and by the time I buy the gun and stock im looking at about $1,000. I really wanted to buy the Howa 1500 mini barreled action in a 6 arc and run a 55-70g bullet. Problem being the gun has a 1:7.5 twist and Im worried about spinning bullets apart as I would be pushing 320,000 rpms. I could use a heavier bullet or slow my load down to about 3000 fps and be right at 300,000rpms but at that point I dont see much reason as I already have a 6 creed. Ive also pondered buying an aero solus action and finding a decent barrel with a slower twist to allow for a lighter bullet, but again were getting to a point of spending more than I want to for this particular gun. Ive also considered the ruger american gen 2 in 6 arc but still running into the problem of having too fast a twist rate. Just looking for some opinions to help me figure out which direction to go. Id prefer to stay right around $800 for the rifle and stock (if need be). Im open to any suggestions even if its a change in caliber options.
