What bullet

Hey, your the bullet man!......Ok, I had a 6 BR with the same set up, 10 twist. With 80 Berger flat base or 88 boat tail it was s laser. Powder was vv135. Good luck. I used it from 100 to 500 yds.

55g Nosler with aa2230 at 3850+(check the bc)
-60g with H335 at 3700+ fps
65g V max at 3600-3650 with H335

Bug holes abound with the above combo's in a 10 twist unless you have .105 or more freebore
Use 7 1/2 primer

If you are going for distance:

Question is what is your freebore length?

80gr Sierra Blitz and 85gr Sierra HPBT are definitely in the mix if it is a hunting rifle.

If it is a match rifle Bart's 80gr Dominators are great. 90gr Bergers are good too if you can tune them and keep them there.

The amount of freebore you have will sort of dictate what bullets will or might work best.JME. WD

0.104. Thanks

No thanks! zero to .030 for me using light bullets. For light bullets, starting off with .104 freebore is sacrificing half your barrel life. These short shank bullets will only jump so far before they get started crooked...throat dia. is also important.
