One of my guys picked up what appears to be a boat tailed steel core from our local hardening facility. Riding dimension (bore contact) is .437 length is 1.851 there is a slight step in the middle .933 from the base and the tail is .382 long.
Assuming this would be coated/plated, what gun would this likely be shot from? Or are these dimensions just so far off that is is likely to be something else that just looks like a bullet.
