WHAT BRASS FOR 300 WM

I am in the same boat as others in finding brass. Have any of you tried PPU brass? That is all I found in stock and only bought 100 of them.

Thanks Jason. All I have fired so far is 14 rounds through a new rifle. The brass seems very nice but looks is not what it is about. I resized it with a Forester
FL Die and came back with a Lee Collet. It measures to within .001" run out on the neck for the 14 that I sized. I'm hoping for some good results. Just would
like to hear from some one who has used it too.
Thanks again.

Not Nosler. Primer pockets loosen up quickly even with moderate loads.

Let us know what you find with the PPU.

Only have 14 rounds fired so it may take a while to assess the brass.

If you have the ability to neck turn atleast clean up the necks 75% and uniform the primer pockets.

Thanks Jason, Necks on 14 are done and all pockets are uniformed. Just need an accurate load for the 208 HDY. and 215 Bergers I have .
I have 8lbs. of H-1000 also along with a few others that will work. This is a new Rem. 700 LR I just bought and started to load for.
I'm new to the 300 as all others I load for do not have a belted case. I mostly shoot 308 and 260. Just wanted something different for
the fun of it. Thanks again man.

bullets.com has Winchester .300 win mag brass. Over the years I have found Winchester brass to last as long as Norma brass in my .300's. My experience with ordering from bullets.com has been very good.

If you need brass I can get you fc11 new primed brass. It's .65c each and you'd have to cover shipping. I've shot some ppu and never had an issue. I get the fc11 local from a commercial reloader same as my 308 brass

Have you looked for any RWS? In my opinion it's the best 300 Win Mag brass made.

Searched and came up nada. I've heard it was the best but found none. Thanks.

I have been back ordered with them for a couple months for RWS. Been using Norma with good results so far.

Sorry for the intrusion, but I noticed this thread was talking about 300 WIN MAG brass. As you can see in the attached pic, I have managed to collect a FEW (7 :-) ) shells in this caliber with NNY headstamp from a local range. If anyone care to make an offer on them, along with anything else you see in the pic, I may be able to throw them in a small flat rate usps box and ship them out to you. Please note that the shipping on a small box is $6, and where I'm located, it takes about $5 in gas for me to get to the nearest post office to ship.

I also have a couple hundred casings of tumbled, mixed headstamp .308, and a thousand casings of tumbled, sorted .223/5.56 if you happen to be looking for any of those.

Thanks for the offer but I am good for now.
