What Brand 380 case?

I was at the range a couple days ago and when I got there the ground was covered with these 380 cases that almost have a burnt black color to them. Since there seemed to be about 300 of them I decided to pick them up just in case they were brass. I did take some sandpaper to one of them and it looks like it may be brass under the coating but not sure. I took a magnet to them and they are not steel and they feel heavier than aluminum. Here's a couple pics one of the head stamp and one of the case itself. I've never seen this head stamp before but what do I know.

Looks like the Browning head stamp. Hard to tell on my phone but pretty sure that's the buck mark. They launched their ammo line last year.

Looking at it again, you may be right. I thought it was some foreign writing!

Nah, I already have too many 223 brass on hand, maybe some 45 Colt brass. I Only have maybe 150 of them so it may not be worth it.

Jd: If you need some 380 brass, I might have some. I'm out for the weekend but when I get back home I can check. I used to empty the buckets at my range and pick out the 45 auto, 40SW and such. I still have a box full of the brass I didn't want to reload. Might be a bunch of 380 in it. Let me know. I could pick out a few hundred or more if you need them.

I also have some regular 380 brass I could let you have, I thought you wanted that Browning brass.

joshb and Thumb, I'm not really hurting for 380, but I did think the Browning stuff was kinda cool. I'm not interested in buying any, and about the only trading stock I've got is 223. Maybe also a couple hundred 40's. Let me know if you're interested in any kind of trade. I've also got a ton of 9mm, but then who doesn't. jd

Yeah, I gave away a few thousand 9s and only have a thousand left, which I may never reload. I'll trade ya for those 40s as I do shoot those. If they're just sitting around. I'll start on the box and see what I can sift out.
