what are you using for optics, 50 and 100 yd F or benchrest?

What seems to be working for you? Weaver T36, Sightron, fixed Leupold?
I know that weight may be an issue for some venues. Thank you.

Shoot my t36 100yds down to 25yds for sb f practice with no problems.
52 clicks to change from 50 to 100 or vice versa and very seldom out of the 9 ring on the first sighter shot.

For 200 I might bother to put on the sightron 50x from my 223 ftr

I like the siii 50x, 15-300yds. I'd probably use the sightron 32x if they focused closer.

Great help, thank you, how about rings ? (for anschutz 64 receiver ), any issues with weavers or Sightron, March are excellent but in this case to set up two guns for juniors.............

The Vortex GE. will go down under 50ft. also, Weight is an other issue with them 30 OZ. If you are a Vet or LEO. you can get a deal on them off the site....... Jim

My 64mpr gave me trouble because the dovetail has basically no height over the barrel.

I bought good Leopuld 'high' rings assuming they would be plenty for the 40mm t36.

Big nope. AO ring rubbed on barrel. Leo rings now sitting in a drawer.

Now I'm running cheap-a** redfield see-throughs that are definitely high enough!

Some day I'll 'upgrade' but I see no indication the cheapoes aren't shooting fine.

Curious, what height do you require?

Curious, what height do you require?

Just the minimum, the front scope bell (and preferably the slide on lens cover) not touching the barrel.

I guess even the 'high' rings are for sporters with tapered barrels.

Obviously my fault for not working it out but on all my other guns, even bull barrels, the mounts plus 'high' rings would allow for a 50 or 60mm scope, let alone 40.

Sorry, I meant specifically, what dimension do you need/want for your scope? I may have some rings for you.

ok, I see now, probably not interested.
I've seen a riser rail I think I'll eventually get and use the rings that are going to waste.
I'm also thinking about getting a 54, then I'll have to figure out what i want on which.

A night force Br would be great even in 8-32.

Working on learning quickly to Get rifles together for the kids, don’t know much about it, been reading as much as I can, have not purchased anything yet as soon as I am confident, the buying will begin.... The help is appreciated

I called Vortex yesterday about options for scopes particular for shooting Smallbore matches.....The engineer I talked to said that they have a new scope being sent to distributors in a month. It is the Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50; I was told that in order to focus down to 50' I would need to back off the power to about 18 or so....it tracks great and has all features I wanted...illuminated reticle, focus knob on the left that is coupled with the illumination know, tall turrets. MSRP is $699 but was directed to a website that has them for preorder for $499. The only thing I do not like is the actual reticle which is an EBR-4 MOA. A very busy reticle but I think it will work for me.....although I will probably never use it for its intended use, it will be interesting to learn how it works!!

Are you saying that you are considering using this for RFBR?
