What Are You Seeing for 6BRAI Throat Errosion

Just looking for some data. The 6BRAI has been used by many shooters for 1-2 years now. Couple questions:

1. What type of throat erosion are you seeing?
2. Accurate barrel life up to how many rounds?

I know these questions have many factors that can effect outcome but would just like to hear your experience. For me, BR shooter, I've seen about a .001" of throat erosion every 100 rounds or so. Increased to .003" once I got past 900rds on two different barrels.

Your input would be appreciated. Thanks and good shooting.

PRS shooter. First barrel is still 1/4 MOA at 2000 rounds but has lost some speed. Now used only for local practice matches.

Second barrel is at 500 rounds, 6 thou of throat erosion.

Depends on the barrel, powder, pressure. Imo
My friends kreiger (sp) looks rough after 700 rounds. Still shoots great. He shoots hotter loads.
My Bartlein didn't start cracking until 1500 rounds. Still shoots great. I shoot milder loads.
I don't know how ppl are being so sure on the .001 erosion ...that's so small.
I'll say one lands are making a weird spot on a test bullet, the others are still small dots. I'd be guessing on the amount of needed increase to maintain touch... Half a thou .....that's about this dot size . ...

Rich as you and Newbieshooter have stated is basically my finding as well. many different throat configurations and my findings are basically the same. for a extended period of time mine and many others I have out there really resist washing out longer with the baby creep .001 before jumping into the .002 & .003 per 100. I have several in the 1400 range that are still competitive. out right premium life I would say 1000 - 1200 but I really think barrel takes the "heat" for other components not holding up there end of the bargain.
