What are you doing to get ready for TackDriver 6?

Hit a bit of a snag in my TD6 prep. I ordered a new Sightron scope and instructed them to ship via Canada Post. Driving back from a grocery run, I heard that the union has called for a nationwide strike. I'll try to switch carriers in the morning.
I have a thousand bullets and some Lapua brass probably stuck in a warehouse somewhere too. I may have to make do with what I have on hand. WH
If you need a scope, i have a spare NF Comp you can borrow. I'll bring it along regardless

Thank you very much for the offer. The lady doing the shipping at Hirsch Precision saw the news yesterday, so she didn't ship the scope and sent me an e-mail last night. I called her this morning, and the scope is, once more, on the way. In the interim, I can do load work using an old Leupold 24x I have. As for the bullets and brass, I have enough that I can press into service. I'll be testing today.
Nice weather here. Cool and calm in the morning. Sunny and hot in the afternoon. My 300m range is over slightly undulating terrain and is covered in grass and brush. Afternoon mirage, while significant, probably won't be as bad as in SC. My elevation is 2800 ft. for what that's worth.
I had some campers call up and say they were coming out this weekend, which usually never happens. I told them that was fine but to expect some noise because the range is hot! WH

I'll bring down a spare March High Master for just in case problems. I'll be using
a NF Comp DDR-2......And Mike, did you try out that skunk works optics part ??

Hoping to try out a completely different, and off the wall, bullet design for my
7.2GM wild cat.......
Going to give it go tomorrow, thanks for sending oto me Fuj

WH, what scope rail do you gave, 3/8" dovetail or picatinny style
You have to understand, I am showing up with 1980 tech equipment. So, my bases are sure enough Weavers! Everything is vintage. The rifle will either be a Wichita Mini or a sleeved 40X. My rest is from RW Hart.
The new scope and rings (30mm) will kind of mess up the vintage aspect, and I'm a bit ashamed of myself for that. I don't think the old Leupold or Lyman/Seibert will quite cut it though! WH

First shots through the new barrel today. Starting load of TAC behind a 167 Lapua. Pressure way low. ten in 1.3 in. at 300m. One vertical flier. I'm hoping an increase in powder charge will get rid of the high shot. All my test shooting will be at 300m. With all the pictures of low .1's @ 100 being shown, I don't want to discourage myself by shooting .3 at 100! If I can get reasonably consistent 3/4 to 7/8 inch five shot groups, I still won't be in the same class as the better shooters (most of you), but I hope to avoid embarrassment. I'm thinking of a Hallowe'en costume to conceal my identity. That might help. WH
