I bought 2 chambered barrels on a whim. The seller had very little information on what they were for. What I do know is that they are both labeled as Kreiger barrels chambered in 6 PPC. They came from the seller in nice barrel bags embroidered with "Jay Sperry" and "Jerry's Gun Shop". Neither appear to have ever been fired.
Here are the measurements I took on one barrel tennon:
Tennon Length=1.039"
18 Threads Per Inch
Major thread diameter=1.056"
Pitch diameter=1.022"
Conical recess cut for a coned bolt head. I estimate the cone to be 20 degrees, but don't have a good way to measure this easily. (I could put one in the lathe and check the angle with dial indicator on the compound if I had to)
Both barrels appear to have 1.5 turns of rifling in 21 inches for a 1:14 twist and both have 4 grooves.
What action are these likely threaded and chambered for?
