WESTERN STATES PALMA CHAMPIONSHIP

LOCATION: Coalinga Rifle Range, Derrick Blvd. ¾ mile north of Jayne Ave., Coalinga
FOOD: A lunch will be served free for all competitors after firing each day. Guests will pay $5.
ENTRIES: ADVANCE ENTRY IS REQUESTED. Entries must be made on the enclosed entry form and accompanied by full payment. Entries will be accepted to the capacity of the range (100).Cancellations will be accepted and all fees will be refunded through 4 March.

SQUADDING: All matches will be squadded. Squadding 0730-0800 Everyday.
CLASSIFICATION: NRA Long Range classification will be used. There will be a division for F-Class Class (A F-Class State Champion will be awarded if there are at least 10 competitors in this division).
AWARDS: Awards will consist of cash. There must be at least 3 competitors/teams in a class for a first place award, 7 for a second place, 11 for a third place, and 15 for a fourth place. If there are fewer than 3 competitors/teams in any one class they will be combined with the next higher class.
Club Match: Awards will be given based on the total aggregate.
Team Match: Awards will be given to the winning team and to the high team in each class award group.
Western States Championship: There will be awards for the Day 1 total, the Day 2 total, and the Western States Palma Championship (aggregate of Day 1 and Day 2). The
Western States Palma Champion will receive a trophy.
SPECIAL AWARDS: High Woman, High Junior, High Senior, and High Grand Senior will be awarded in the Western States Championship, provided there are three or more competitors who qualify for the award.
SCORING/TARGET SERVICE: Competitors will score and pull targets. No young children will be allowed in the pits.
TARGETS: LR for 800, 900, and 1000 yards. F-Class will use appropriate F-Class targets.
RULES: Current NRA Rules will apply. U.S. Palma Rifle (Rule 3.3.2).
FIRING SCHEDULE
Squadding will be 0730-0800. Safety brief 0800. Commence fire 0830. Everyday.
Wednesday – Squadded Practice. Palma course of fire.
Thursday – Club Match: Palma course of fire.
Friday – 4-Man Team Match: Palma course of fire for each firing member (only twosighters at 800 yards). Each firing sequence will be 47 minutes, during which only two team members may fire.
Saturday – Day 1 Western States Palma Championship: Palma course of fire.
Sunday – Day 2 Western States Palma Championship: Palma course of fire.
