600 yard IBS Rifle Tournament

Western Colorado Rifle and Silhouette Club​

Dates: May 29th & 30th, 2021. Registration closes at 0800 Saturday October 3rd, and closes at 0700 on Sunday October 4th. The Match begins at 0900 on Saturday and 0800 on Sunday October 4th.

The range will be accessible for sighting in/tuning on Friday afternoon. We do not have a loading shed, if you plan on loading at the range, you should plan on being self-sufficient.

Directions from Grand Junction, Colorado



Take Hwy 50 south to Whitewater, just south of Whitewater near mile-marker 41 turn left on Reeder Mesa Road. Continue 3.6 miles on Reeder Mesa Rd, the entrance to the shooting sports complex will be on your left. Once inside the complex take the first left, that road ends at the 600 yard range.

Cost $60.00 per day

Course of Fire: Benchrest: 4 targets of light gun, and 4 targets of heavy gun each day. We will shoot LG then HG on Saturday and reverse it and shoot HG then LG on Sunday.

Tactical Rifle: 4 targets each day, we will likely shoot the Tactical Rifle contest concurrently with the LG contest each day.

IBS aggregate format will be used to determine match winner.

Awards: IBS patches, Medals, and Plaques

Rules: IBS 600 yard benchrest and tactical rules will be followed during these matches.

SOY: This match is a “Shooter of the Year” match, SOY points will be awarded. Each day is a separate SOY match (Please note, There will not be any SOY points awarded in the Tactical Gun contest). Correction, there will be SOY points awarded for Tactical Class during this match. I misunderstood the "rules" and thanks to @David 0306 , I am on the right road now. (Thanks Dave).

Dry camping is allowed at the range, no electric, water, or sewer. Please let me know if you plan to camp.

Meals A caterer will be on site selling lunch for $15.00 a plate (cash only), this meal generally includes 2 meats and 2 sides. If you plan to have a guest join you for lunch please let us know when registering for the match.
