Were to Shoot In Eastern Virginia

I am considering buying a house closer to where my daughter and son-in-law moved in North Carolina, don't want to have a part time home that far south. So for a number of reasons, including being an avid sailor, I am considering the Virginia Side of the Chesapeake Bay. Maryland Gun laws seem to be getting worse than those in New York, hence the Virginia Side rather than the more popular Maryland side for boating.

So, if I have a good number of my firearms on the Lancaster Peninsula area of Virginia (Irvington Area) does anyone know where I can shoot 100,200, 300 or possibly farther within reasonable distance?

(Also looking for Skeet and Trap Clubs in the area, which seem allusive.)

Thanks, Bob

You aren't too far from the Fairfax Rod & Gun Club, they hold a number of Short Range BR events. You would also be within what I think of as a reasonable drive of Thurmont Conservation and Sportsmens Club, they hold a few BR shoots, have VERY nice skeet and trap as well.

BlackCreek is just east of the Richmond area, there is also a range at the Virginia International Raceway that goes out to 1K.
