Well it finally happened

No pressure signs at all but admittedly different brass I probably should’ve backed it down a touch action has been completely Trued and squared definitely not an oval chamber this barrel is nearing the end of its life and has been perfectly fine until I tried this new brass also no ejector marks rounded edges on primer I don’t believe it’s over pressure just soft brass I guess this is my first use of Hornady brass

Really sound like you are over pressure with the load you have been using in your other cases, and switch to the new brass, no matter that brand. Rule is always reduce and work up with a load, when you change any thing in your reloads i.e. primer, brass, etc.

Different brass means New load . Start a new load with published data and see if you still blame the brass. Simple test, without trying that I don't see how you can condemn Hornady brass .

my loads are not hot they are not low recoil either 2990 ft./s but I guess I just broke the cardinal rule anytime you change anything back it down and work your way up

Well .223 Hornady Brass in a AR is a 50/50 deal.
50% Rims pulled off using a SB Die for Sizing

Trick work the Press in small down and back movements cuts it to 25% loss.

With that many cases being lost it does not sound like the Way to go Also I guess I never made it clear what caliber this is a 6.5 x 284 Norma

To be correct , this can happen with .223 FC Government once fired also.
I have also pulled a few Winchester .
Did not mean to high jack the post.

The rifle this load and all reloading equipment has been well used for several years
Well I had my first stuck case last night myself. Lapua .223 brass fired 5x in a Sako and FLS using a standard Redding die.

This time I was bumping back the shoulders to suit a Tikka T3X using a new Type S die. I left it with penetrating oil overnight and if it doesn’t release with a few taps of a long punch it’s going to Redding for extraction and polish.

I have to remember that the amount of press lever force that’s normal for bigger cartridges is a red flag for smaller stuff.

338, no comment on the Hornady brass, but is that a HF desk? I've been thinking of one for a reloading setup.

I have one. Pretty sturdy for the price (I got mine from some crafty guy who got sick before he could use it.) Only snag is that unless you get a riser for the press(es) you want to mount, the options are limited without interfering with the drawers. I have a Hornady AP on one side and a classic on the other. Have to lower the AP handle to get into the lower left drawer.

Inline Fabricaition makes awesome risers
for your presses with plates to mount them
on for easy on and off the press.
I have it on my HF table and the drawers work fine. Perfect small footprint set up

I’m not a big fan of Hornady brass but some became available and too easy and cheap to turn down and During fire forming every shot had a stiff boltlift only at the very top as far as extraction something that’s never happened to me in seven years when resizing they were very hard to go up in my body die which is never happened either and on number 12 it finally happened and one got stuck luckily I have a tap and bolts and cobbled together my own case extractor Also it’s a known load and there were zero pressure signs

How could you have a stiff bolt lift but claim "zero pressure signs"? This isn't the fault of the brass. This is the fault of the loader.
