Weight of 6BR imp heavy guns

I am sick of carting my extra heavy 300WSM out of the car and to the mound so looking to try a "cruiser" heavy gun, something a bit heavier than F class rifles but not as heavy as some true larger cal heavies.
What weight are most of those using 6BRs or improved in 600 or 1000yd BR? I know going too heavy has been shown to cause accuracy issues, so how heavy is too heavy??

Also, are there many using 6.5x47s in HG, or is it usually the 6MMs tthen up to 30s?

Seems like the LGs shoot about as well as the HGs. Basically you could “build a LG” except you could use a heavier barrel like a 1.25 straight, and maybe a heavier action.
If you build a ~22lb rifle you’d also be eligible for matches like Rendezvous at Vapor Trail, here’s some rough math some of its probably wrong.

BatM w bolt ~3lb
stock ~ 5lb
Scope + uni mount 2.4lb
~10+ lb barrel
Total final weight : <22 lb

Like Mike says keep under 22 lb easier to haul around with no lose of production down range. Any 6 br 6 bra. 6 dasher. And my new favorite 6 GT. Ability to use 1.25 barrels a big plus.

In my opinion, the 6.5x47 and 25x47 are both showing strong these days (Long range BR).
I believe at least 1 6.5 has been in the top 10 each year of the Rendezvous match. In addition I think Mr Kiefer has won the score portion several times driving his 6.5. Last year

Glenn Kuzler has won plenty of bling driving a 25.
I think a junior with the last name of Williams has also done VERY well with a 25?
I believe a 25 faired very well at the '26 Freedom Nationals at Williamsport last fall?

The Rendezvous match is a combined 14 target agg (BR) shot over 3 days with targets at 600 and a 1000 each day. The number of 6.5's and 25's in increasing each year. The 6's still dominate the top 10, but when you look at the top 14, there has been a few 7's in the mix also. The bigger calibers sure appear to score better over a 3 day agg.

The 6GT also interests me. How have you found its accuracy compared to the BR based cases?

There is one at Wingham that is just drilling in F Open… With 40rds on the barrel turned in 119.14 at 800mts driving Berger 108’s. {199.14 for the yanks}
I have one waiting in the wings {reamer & brass} when my current 6BR barrel goes South.
Of course he is a very good indian so his arrows always fly fairly straight…. ;)

Last year at VT. Match 5. Hade good day. 1.58 LG - 198. Heave gun ok. Two gun 2. Just started using 6 GT. A few weeks earlier. I feel you can treat it like a 6 br. Easy tune. Running high 2880 plus. I’m running at 2970-90 now. Also was running at 3060-80 at Williamsport a few weeks earlier for 1000 yd. A little more tuning might have done better. But not bad for first timer.
