Travelor said:Andy, the answer to you question is that the Weaver T-36 has a total of 60 MOA of windage and elevation adjustment. So with the scope optically centered and the gun sighted in at 100 yards, you only have 30 MOA of elevation left and this is usually not sufficient for 1000 yards.
I shoot 1000 yards using this model of scope and find I need a 20 MOA base to get the elvation I need to to shoot to POA at this distace with 30-06, 308, and 6mmBR.
