Weaver T-36

I bought mine last year and its been good to me. I was thinking about installing a Davis Optical Booster for a little more magnification at 600. Anybody out there own one ?

These are absolutely the best scopes for the money you can buy. I have replaced all of my Leupold scopes for Weaver T36's. They never change the point of impact. I was having real problems with Leupolds. A great group ruined with one shot out of the group. I am not talking just a hair out-I mean 1/2 to 3/4 inch away. You cannot go wrong with Weaver T36 scopes. I have seen them new for sale for $370.00.

The Weaver 36X is a great short BR scope. I have two and love them. Never had a problem with either, cannot say that for Leupolds. But, for long range groundhog matches, I no longer buy fixed power scopes. When mirage is running hard, you can minimize it by turning down a variable. I bought the Gene Davis 3X booster; tried it on the Weavers and on a Leupold 36X. I was impressed with it at 200 yards - but beyond that, the scoring rings started to get fuzzy. At 500M, I could not clearly define the target. Returned it to Mr. Davis for a full refund.

I have a Davis Optical Booster in 3X. It is intended only for 100-200 yards and it works great. I would suggest the 4X optical booster for 500 yards or more. The major benifit of the booster is that it makes mirage waves very visible so you can more easily dope the wind. As for the Weaver 36x scope, they are great.
