Weaver Buck Commander Scopes

Well, the guys here say that Weaver is out of business. I'm not sure that is true, but you may want to take that in to consideration before you buy a scope. If it goes south on you, you may be out of luck.
Pick up a used rifle mainly just for a truck rifle for coyotes, at a sporting goods store a TC Venture Weather Shield in a 22-250 with mounts, rings, and scope combine at price I could not pass up, with a Weaver Buck Commander on it, 4x16x42 side focus model with hold over lines.
Scope is clear at all power, at early morning but does get little fuzzy when the heat starts to rise,it does track well so far and hold its adjustments fine. You can pick up the turrets and reset back to zero if you desire to do so. It not a bad scope, but think for the money there is other options. Like I said this was a combo packaged deal for 250.00$ everything, it does shoot very well so far. It will stay on the rifle till it fails.

I contacted Bushnell & they will service Weaver scopes. Get approval to return first. Sad to see this happen to Weaver. Some good buys can be had on Weaver Grand Slam scopes. I have three 6-20X40's. One of which has been in service for 18 years. Real close to a Leupold VX3 optically but some what better mechanics.
