One negative I can think of is that it has mismatched reticle and turrets (mil-dot and MOA, respectively). People seem to be waiting for the Vortex PSTs in that price range. Another one to consider is the Bushnell 4200 6-24x50 FFP, which can be had for $750 from Midway with the "4200" coupon code. It and the Vortex have matching reticles and turrets. The only real downside of the Bushnell compared to the Vortex and others being not a lot of elevation adjustment.

As stated I think that the new Vortex Viper PST is the best available in the sub $1K range for an FFP. Their new reticle is the cat's meow and the range of adjustment is superior. I have been waiting a little over a year for them to release them and now I getting very excited to final lay my hands on at least one

Yes the viper sounds like it could be a good one I called them about it maybe after shot, the 1/10th mil adj doesnt mean much to me on any of them rather have 1/4 moa smaller movement .25 versus ,36 I would much rather have 1/8 moa, I looked at the Bushnell FFP nice opticsplanet $750, and sightron has a straight power 20x with 1/2 mil hash marksthat might be a good one I could use two scopes, and I really like the Leupold FFP with TMR big bucks , well thanks guys Merry Christmas
