Weatherby vanguard or tikka t3 lite ?

I don't read to much about either of these brands? , are either of them good for off the shelf accuracy,
For a gun that cost around 650.00?

My brother in law bought a T3 300 win mag. Did a little trigger work and worked up a load and the rifle will put 3 together from .400-.650" at 100 yds. That was the range for 5 groups of 3 shots each. The rifle shoots and took an elk a few weeks ago.

The one really notable thing about the tikka is the smoothness of the action. They are a darn good rifle for the money in my opinion.

I have a lot of rifles and the my Tikka T3 Lite (300 WSM) is the best out-of-the-box shooter I have. Amazingly accurate, smooth and lite.

Both are well-regarded, but the smooth action, great adjustable trigger, and out of the box accuracy lend many to crown the T3 Lite as the best value under $800. If you live near a Sportsmans Warehouse, check out the T3 SuperLite with a stainless fluted Sako Finnlight barrel.

Between those two I would choose the Tikka, the action is so smooth, it just has to be felt to be believed. Personally I would not buy a Weatherby Vanguard, I would save $50 and buy the Howa 1500, the Vanguard is nothing but a rebadged Howa.

I have at T3 Lite in 243.

I like mine very much.
The trigger is outstanding and easily adjustable.
The stock is quite a bit stiffer than most other synthetic stocks I've seen.
The action is the smoothest I've ever had.
I like the fact that the rifle come with rings that work quite well.
Mine is a sub 1 moa rifle with tailored hand loads.
It's a great value in my opinion.

The only Weatherby I own is there high end rifle, a Mark 5, Supervarmint Master. It's the most accurate out of the box rifle
I ever owned but is cost me $1,500.

Love my T-3! Butter smooth action, and with the right load, shoots around half minute of angle at 100.I would say it's a hair better in the accuracy dept than a fresh out of the box Remington 700

ive had my weatherby vanguard 243 for about 6 years now ..bloody great gun that has been through 2x 243 barrels in that time and now has a 6BR barrel for target that i swap with the 243 barrel for hunting
i upgraded the trigger to a rifle basix and had different stocks over the years and it hasnt missed a beat and is accurate gun
