Weatherby barrel

I am trying to take the barrel off of a mark 5 weatherby I have taken some tight barrels off but this one tops them all I have a good vice and action wrench any ideas

Heat on the action and cold packs on the chamber.

Chuck it up and cut it right at the shoulder with a parting tool. Itll come off by hand

Are you keep the barrel? If not, put a pipe wrench on the barrel. Easier than setting it up in a lathe.

I have a good vice and action wrench any ideas

I have equipment that was designed to remove barrels from receivers. I will not elaborate on some of the older equipment out of fear the strong will get weak and the weak pass out.

I use a press to hold the barrel vise and I find wood block will crush before the barrel can be secured enough without turning.

The most difficult barrel I removed required 900 pounds of torqued to break loose.
