Just saw in the paper that Bob Munden passed away while headed home from the hospital between Missoula and Butte Montana. His Wife Becky said they were heading home from the hospital where he had been treated for a mild heart attack, on there way home he complained of chest pain but told Becky to drive on, he passed away somewhere in between, what a shame, he will be missed! My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Sincerely Wayne A Bezona.

The world has lost yet another unique person with a warm personality ,and such great skills that may never be repeated in our lifetime if ever. Bob was one of those guys you always wanted to shake his hand or send him a colt for his magic. I extend my prayers to his family in this time of grief. He will be sorely missed.

Thanks a LOT for posting that. I didn't know about this fine gent, and I'm glad to learn about him and his wife and their huge contribution to the shooting sports.

We are diminished.

RIP Bob Munden :(

Ernie Hill is the gentleman who holds the official recorded world record with the quickset time in "fast draw" competition ;)

About a year ago got to meet him and his wife in Butte MT. They showed a movie about his life and career as a professional shooter at the Butte Tech college auditorium. After the show he was signing books and videos, plus had a display of all his guns. Pretty amazing fellow. Glad i seen the show

was Ernie Hill shooting a single action revolver?
He most certainly was ;) Ernie Hill, like Bob Munden, competed in the World Fast Draw Association. All records, past and current are readily available. Though Bob Munden was an exceptional "trick shot" artist, which was his claim to fame, he was never successful in fast draw competition. He had no equal when it came to trick shooting.
