Two targets of LG in the books.

The e target backers came in handy already.

This is a hybrid match, paper targets are scored with calipers in the score shack.
Just shot on electronic background so sighters can be seen.

Jerry Carter shot a dandy!!! With the help of some Barts Hammers.
@BartsBullets thanks for the great bullets buddy!!!

It sure helps to verify number of shots on target.

The wind came up significantly and a fairly sizable thunder storm moved in with some rain.

We pulled the plug and went home after just getting started on HG.

Edit to add local weather observations below.

As you can see, at about 1500 the winds went from west at 9 MPH to SE at 31 MPH with gusts to 44.

This weather observation was taken at the local airport.

Yesterday , just as we started HG, a significant T-storm hit the range. Targets were lost in the strong winds and rain.

Somehow this target shot by Tim Barber survived the storm and he was able to grab it as we were packing up with the storm overhead.

@BartsBullets Barts Gungnirs held a sub 2” group in really ugly conditions.

30mph winds with gusts to 44 was NOT forecasted!!!!

I’ll get the rest of the match report out later.

I find it interesting how the shotmarker measures the group somewhat larger than the "human" measurement, which was 1.128". The Ballistic-X program on my phone measured it at 1.105".

During the thunderstorm I tried to wait out the storm but it was not letting up, I lost my sighter target to the wind and just aimed where it used to be to see my impacts on the electronic target and try to get centered up. At the 3 minute warning I decided to go for it and fired 5 as fast as I could run them. The wind was blowing around an estimated 20 mph at the time but it must have been consistent during those 5 shots. I did not expect a sub 2” group in those conditions.
Thank you Clay and all the competitors for helping to set up and tear down in rough conditions.
Tim Barber
