WC680 POWDER

I personally have never used 680 in a Hornet, but loaded it in a 357 a looooong time ago. Then it disappeared.
Nosler manual #3 from 1989 shows one load only for 45 grain bullet and not in heavier bullets,
Start @ 10.5 grains......2520 fps
Max @11.5 grains.......2650 fps
Using a Remington 6 1/2 primer.

It's very close to AA1680.
When supplies of W-680 ran out, I switched to 1680 in my 30 Herrett and never looked back.
According to Handloader Magazine, (whose source was, according to them, St. Marks), AA1680 is WW680. Winchester (before or after Hodgdon acquired the brand rights, I'm not sure) stopped selling it as a canister powder, later Accurate picked it up thinking it would be good for 7.62x39, and then the blackout craze hit and it sold well.
