WC-846 & WC-750?

While taking inventory I found I had a jug of WC-846, which I had forgotten, along with I jug of WC-750 and some other bulk powders. The information I have on them is that they are both ball powders and the the WC-750 is 'bout like WW-748 and the WC-846 is 'bout like BL-C(2). I found a good discussion of the history of WC-846 and the military round online.

What I'm interested in knowing is how they compare with each other in utility. Is one less or more prone to having issues than the other: temperature, sensitivity, etc?

Both are outdated in temp sensitivity; not horrendous; but good idea to do your pressure work ups on a warm / hot day. Hodgdon extreme they are not.

Biggest concern is lot to lot variation. Don't just take your comparison data and start at your favorite load (ie do t take your current BL(c)-2 load and dump in wc-846). Check each lot as the performance variation can be bigger than we typically see.

I prefer to do pressure workups on all my mil lots at once so I can note which is faster relative to the others; then load fastest to slowest.

IME, wc-846 does well in 223 with 77s; and 6.5grendel with 120s. My 600y loads are all stick powders though, and typically a vitavhouri. 846-Should do excellent in 308 as well; but I'm running through my 4064 first.

WC844 and 846 burn surprisingly clean at mid-upper pressures, and have the flash suppression and copper fouling additives.
