Air Compressor safety... Take the time to drain your air compressor tanks. This is more important than simply being a necessary step to avoid water in your air lines. Rust in the tank will compromise its integrity over time. These things can turn into bombs. If something doesnt seem right or you hear hissing take the time to investigate.
My dad was cleaning the lint and dust off his pool table brushes with compressed air. He was standing right next to the compressor when it let go. It knocked him off his feet and onto his arse. It knocked pictures off the wall in the house and got the neighbors attention as well. He escaped serious injury just some scrapes and bruises. He is blessed to still be alive this could have been a very tragic outcome. Please take the time it is important

I had a road bicycle tire blow on me, that skinny little thing was quite the concussion. I'm glad everyone is OK.

A wise man once said "do not fuck with pressure vessels"

Years ago, more than 20, a contractor working on a house in a Cleveland OH neighborhood was killed when a portable air compressor tank blew. It was said a piece of the steel tank penetrated his body causing the fatal injury. There were two workers, one was uninjured but he was unable to save the other.
