Warne scope mount company has earned a top spot in my book of customer service!
I bought some Warne MountainTech scope rings at Cabelas this morning. I usually go with Nightforce but they didn't have any, so I decided to give these a chance. Got home and went to mount the scope and the rings wouldn't tighten on the base. They were loose when the cross bolt was tightened. Nightforce base. They are supposed to fit Picatinny and Weaver style bases. I tried them on another Near base and the same thing. Tried a set of high Nightforce rings in both bases and they fit fine.
Here we go I figured... I called the number off the website to see if there was something I was missing or something I could try to make them work. Guy that answered for customer service listened and said it was a question better suited for the tech support department; transferred me to Chris is tech support. I filled him in on what was going on and he said he'll get a replacement set out right away. No if, and, or buts about it. I offered the send these to him to have a look and he said it was not necessary. If they get another call about the same problem then that person will send theirs in because this is most likely a fluke problem. We had a nice chat about shooting in the winter after that. In general a really nice guy that took care a my problem better than I could have hoped for!
I want to put this out there that they are an American made company that takes care of their customers. Makes them worth extra to me. My next set of rings will be Warne because of this. Don't be afraid to give them a try.
