Wanted: RH Stock for short action Stevens 200 with heavy barrel

I have the action and barrel (223), just need a stock. This will be a bench gun. Action is right hand but I shoot left handed so thumbholes are out.

May wanna state which action screw spacing you need. Most Stevens 200’s were staggerfeed(4.275”), however they did make some in centerfeed(4.400”) for a year or two before they stopped making them. I actually have one that is centerfeed.

The good thing is if you have a staggerfeed action you may be able to use a centerfeed stock with it. If the stock has an aluminum bedding block(like B&C, hs precision, etc) this can be done by simply elongating the front action screw hole about an 1/8”. If the stock doesn’t have the bedding block then it can still be made to fit. You’d just have to remove the pillar and rebed it to your action. More work but still doable if it’s the stock you want. A staggerfeed bench stock is a much harder one to find.

Yes….you’re correct
Not entirely. Most were staggerfeed but some were centerfeed.
I have an Stevens 200 in 243 that is a centerfeed blind mag. Non accutrigger round top action. Year of manufacture is 2007. They overlapped them for a year or two. More than likely to use up all the parts that were already marked as Stevens(barrels, bolt bodies). Oddball for sure but they did make some.

I have a Stevens .223 centerfeed -- bought it on closeout the last year they were sold.

To the OP: If yours has a 4.27 hole spacing, I have a like new factory laminated varmint (BVSS) stock that is about as close to a bench stock as Savage made for that spacing. PM me if interested.

Steven’s 200 with 4.41” spacing ?

Savage has been known for using up extra parts

Some here may remember the ole ‘M’series s/shot actions…non Accue triggers

24” blue or SS barrels in 9 twist 223…Tupperware stock…4.27” spacing

Left over ML smokeless actions. ?

OP, And if you decide to buy this, the UrbanRifleman sells a 3” bag rider specificallly to fit this stock for like $30. Just in case that interests you.

I will sell this virtually perfect Savage 12 low profile varmint stock 4.27 spacing for $250 shipped.
Very attractive stock and this one has not been altered in any way.
I like to trade, looking for a nice 4-12X scope.

The owner had a single shot carrier installed and the bolts do measure 4.27. By the width of the mag well, I’d guess it’s stagger feed. He gave me the other parts but I’m keeping it the way it is as a single shot.
