Do the ones you have, have a red plastic tip? I believe the part number is correct, they made two different variations of the bullet. If they have the red plastic tip I'm interested.

I don’t recall the SSP bullet having a plastic tip… only remember them as lead tip sp. Thinner jacket for pistol use but still an interlock design.

My daughter’s first 2 deer fell to this bullet out of a Rem 700 7BR. I harvested two others with said rifle myself. It performed admirably.

The 120 gr plastic tip Hornady that I remember shooting was the VMax … quite explosive out of 7-08 s. Might be ok with pistol and lower velocity.

Looked in my bullet stache, and found a partial box same no. as your picture although not the same box. Printed 7MM ,.284, 120 GR SSPB. They are tipped. Box does not have metal on corners, must have used these in my 7 IHMSA xp.
