Wanted -
280 Ackley imp. barrel for 700 rem. Action
prefer SS and not high round count .
My dad always wanted to build one of these and never got around to it .
He had everything rounded up except the barrel ,I was digging through his old stuff other day and found it and decided to finish his dream .

Also wanted to add looking for medium weight (contour ) barrel to fit barrel channel in the stock .

I'm currently running one {.280AI} in F Open and it is a terrific cartridge and readily available. If you are building a hunting rifle it will take down just anything around in the USA and at distance out to 1'000yds with a good scope and you doing your part. Load it up with some heavies and drive them towards 2800.
Ya Dad will always be with you when you shoot it...
Good luck with a used barrel and ask for a photo of the bore/throat area as it would be a drag to do your $ on a shot out one... Been there and Done that...!
